Just wow! Lindsay and her husband Royce are going to be welcoming their sweet baby boy into the world any day now and I am so over the moon that I was able to work with them before the big day! One thing that is for absolute sure is that this sweet little boy tucked in mama's belly is so incredibly loved already and so completely wanted.
For this maternity session I really wanted a mixture of epic beach backdrops of course ( such a must !!) but I also wanted something that didn't look like quintessential Jacksonville Florida as well. I wanted variety and after some serious scouting, we headed down A1A to Guana River Preserve in North East Florida. The beaches with the endless hiking trails across the street ended up being perfect backdrops for these parents-to-be.
Lindsay utilized my client closet for her maternity session. We chose a free people gauzy dress and a free people kimono for her bare belly shots. I knew the red would look amazing with her long blonde hair, but just wow. She looked beyond amazing! For all of my clients I offer full styling assistance along with access to my client closet. So if you're reading this and are like my other clients that are stressed about what you should wear to your next photography session. Don't even worry, I got you!!! We will work together to find the perfect pieces!
I loved the kimono for getting some bare belly shots on the beach. It made for some seriously powerful images. I also wanted these photos to feel natural and bohemian. For me the beach is all about kicking your shoes off and feeling the wind and the sand on your skin and I knew the kimono with lots of skin would give me the earthy mama vibes that I was looking for.
